Currently on Democratic Visions: Edina’s Jim Meffert and Dwaine Lindberg
DFL Congressional District 3 candidate Jim Meffert, gubernatorial candidate Tom Rukavina and Edina City Council Member Joni Bennett appear on the February edition of Democratic Visions.
Bennett pays tribute to the dedicated community spirit of Edina activist Dwaine Lindberg who died on January 7th at the age of 84. Lindberg was a founding member of the Bike Edina Task Force, contributed to the city’s bike trail plan and organized many public issues forums in Edina and Bloomington. Lindberg was also a board member of the DFL Education Foundation.
Congressional candidate Jim Meffert and gubernatorial candidate Tom Rukavina tell Democratic Visions host Tim O’Brien why they are running for their respective offices. Rukavina is one of Minnesota’s longest serving legislators. Meffert, an Edina resident, says that voters in his suburban district are clamoring for a congressional leader who will represent their concerns about health care, education and the environment.
