We have an opportunity that has not existed for many years. We can elect some good Democrats from our District for State and National offices.

GET OUT THE VOTE

GOTV time!
You've been waiting for it all campaign season and we're days away from the organized chaos beginning!
DFL Get Out the Vote shifts start Wednesday, November 1st and run though Election Day.
A variety of activities will be happening in the district, so it's time to roll up your sleeves and dig in. Continue reading to see how you can get plugged into the final push for our amazing candidates.

Our final daylight lit drop!
Senate District 42's last literature drop of the season will be happening on Saturday the 4th and Sunday 5th. Volunteers will be walking and dropping for Carol, Rob and Maria.
To get plugged in to the lit drop, please contact Beth Gilman at bkgilman@mn.rr.co m.

Midnight Madness
Contrary to its fabulous title, Midnight Madness will likely begin around 10pm on November 6th.
For those unfamiliar, Midnight Madness is lit. dropping at night. It is a great reminder for people exiting their homes the next morning to vote.

Coordinated Campaign GOTV activites.
Lori Elliott and the Coordinated Campaign will begin strong pursuasion phone banking and doorknocking on Wednesday the 1st. The shifts are as follows;

Phone Banking-
Nov. 1st- 5-9pm
Nov. 2nd- 5-9pm
Nov. 3rd- 5-9pm
Nov. 4th- 9:30am-1:30pm AND 2-6:30pm
Nov. 5th- 11:30am- 4pm AND 4:30-8:30pm
Nov. 6th- 5:30-9pm
Nov. 7th- 8am-12 AND 12-4pm AND 4-8pm

Door knocking-
Nov. 1st- 5-9pm
Nov. 2nd- 5-9pm
Nov. 3rd- 5-9pm
Nov. 4th- 9:30am-1:30pm AND 2:30-6:30pm
Nov. 5th- 12-4pm AND 4:30-8:30pm

Precinct Change for Western Eden Prairie Residents
There has been redistricting in the area north of Pioneer Trail, south of Highway 5 and west of Dell Road. You are no longer part of Precinct 19 and do not vote at Grace Church. People north of the new 312 are now part of Precinct 9. Your polling place for state elections is Resurrection Life Church, 16397 Glory Lane. People south of the new 312 are now part of Precinct 18. Your polling place for state elections is Eden Prairie Presbyterian Church, 9145 Eden Prairie Road. The Eden Prairie City Clerk has mailed out cards indicating where you should vote. If you live in this area and are uncertain which precinct you are now part of, please download and review a map showing the new precinct boundaries by clicking here.

EVENTS & MEETINGS

November 7: ELECTION DAY
Wake up early and vote! After that go and volunteer and convince other Democrats to head to the polls. Republicans need not apply. Join your fellow Democrats in watching and waiting for election results at the Crown Hotel in St. Paul.

November 18: 2nd Annual Fall Festival at Preserve Barn in Eden Prairie
Senate District 42 plans a fun-filled evening with music, great food and excellent company at the Preserve Barn at 11221 Anderson Lakes Parkway in Eden Prairie. 6-10 p.m. Suggested donation: $10 for adults, $8 for children.

November 9: SD 42 Central Committee Monthly Meeting The next Central Committee meeting for Senate District 42 is Thursday, November 9th, at 7 p.m. at the Minnetonka Community Center, 14600 Minnetonka Boulevard in Minnetonka. The Central Committee is made up of about 80 people, including the Executive Committee, State Central Committee members and all precinct chairs and associate chairs. All local Democrats are welcome to attend these meetings. Your input is valued and you will be able to participate fully, with the exception of voting. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month at the Minnetonka Community Center. The last meeting of the year will be December 14.
