It's Crunch Time! Help DFL Candidates Win!
With less than 40 days until Election Day on November 7, the time is now to help DFL candidates win at every level. Make a commitment today to help your community, your state and your country during this final push.

In the "Getting Involved" section below, there are numerous ways you can help local and statewide candidates, including: door-knocking, making phone calls, dropping literature, doing data entry, displaying yard signs, writing letters to the editor and donating money. See pertinent details below, including contact information. Volunteers are also needed this Saturday, October 7, for another district-wide door-knocking effort to identify and persuade voters. Meet at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. at Purgatory Creek Park in Eden Prairie. (See map here.) See more details below under "Events & Meetings" and volunteer here.

Don't wake up on November 8 and say, "I wish I had done more to help." Get involved now and also plan ahead so that you can take one or more days off from work for Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) efforts leading up to Election Day. If you can, also take off Election Day to volunteer.

Thank you!
Norb Gernes, Senate District 42 Chair
Deb Pitzrick, SD42 Associate Chair

Volunteers Knock on 1,000-plus Doors in District-Wide Canvass

Thanks so much to more than 30 volunteers who turned out on Saturday, Sept. 23, to knock on doors in a district-wide voter identification and persuasion effort. Despite variable weather (sun in the morning, rain in the afternoon), our volunteers had hundreds of conversations with their Eden Prairie and Minnetonka neighbors. This face-to-face contact will help all of our candidates win on Nov. 7. There will be another district-wide door-knocking effort this Saturday, October 7. Same place (Purgatory Creek Park in Eden Prairie at southwest corner of Prairie Center Drive and Technology Drive) and same times (10 a.m. and 2 p.m.). RSVP to Lori Elliott here.

Out of Town on Election Day? Remember to Vote Absentee!
If you are not able to visit your polling place on Nov. 7 Election Day, you have two ways to vote absentee. You can "pre-vote" at your City Hall or submit a request for an absentee ballot that will be mailed to you about one month prior to the election. Click here to visit the City of Eden Prairie's web site for more information and to download the Absentee ballot request. Click here to visit the City of Minnetonka's web site for more information and to download the Absentee ballot request.

Precinct Change for Western Eden Prairie Residents
There has been redistricting in the area north of Pioneer Trail, south of Highway 5 and west of Dell Road. You are no longer part of Precinct 19 and do not vote at Grace Church. People north of the new 312 are now part of Precinct 9. Your polling place for state elections is Resurrection Life Church, 16397 Glory Lane. People south of the new 312 are now part of Precinct 18. Your polling place for state elections is Eden Prairie Presbyterian Church, 9145 Eden Prairie Road. The Eden Prairie City Clerk has mailed out cards indicating where you should vote. If you live in this area and are uncertain which precinct you are now part of, please download and review a map showing the new precinct boundaries by clicking here.
